OF WHAT IS GOD WORTHY?

Psalm 29:1-2 . . . Give honor to the Lord, you angels; give honor to the Lord for his glory and strength. Give honor to the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

Psalm 145:3 . . . Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! His greatness is beyond discovery!

2 Samuel 22:4 . . . I will call on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, for he saves me from my enemies.

Psalm 33:4 . . . The word of the Lord holds true, and everything he does is worthy of our trust.

Revelation 4:11 . . . “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.”

God is worthy of our praise, worship, respect, and trust.

WHAT AM I WORTH-WHAT IS MY VALUE TO GOD?

Psalm 8:5 . . . You made us only a little lower than God, and you crowned us with glory and honor.

Deuteronomy 26:18 . . . The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands.

Mark 8:37 . . . Is anything worth more than your soul?

God made us in his own image, so he must value us highly! He also emphasizes how important our souls are to him.

WHAT MAKES ME WORTHY?

1 Corinthians 6:20 . . . God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Ephesians 1:4-7 . . . Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his Son, and our sins are forgiven.

Before God made the world he chose us to be born as his unique creations, holy and forgiven.

WHAT DOES GOD CONSIDER TO BE OF WORTH?

1 Corinthians 13:13 . . . There are three things that will endure-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.

God values faith, hope, and love.

Proverbs 4:7 . . . Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do! And whatever else you do, get good judgment.

God values wisdom and good judgment.

1 Timothy 4:8 . . . Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next.

God values a persistent desire to know him.

Ecclesiastes 7:1 . . . A good reputation is more valuable than the most expensive perfume.

God values a good reputation.

Proverbs 20:15 . . . Wise speech is rarer and more valuable than gold and rubies.

God values wise and helpful words.

Proverbs 31:10 . . . Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies.

God values virtue and exemplary conduct.

HOW CAN I KEEP MY LIFE FOCUSED ON THINGS OF WORTH?

Psalm 119:37 . . . Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.

Acts 14:15 . . . We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Luke 10:42 . . . There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it-and I won’t take it away from her.

Philippians 4:8 . . . Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Acts 20:24 . . . My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love.

2 Corinthians 3:5 . . . It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves.

Philippians 3:8 . . . Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ.

Our only power and success come from God.

PROMISE FROM GOD:
